Photo Challenge: At My Desk

Good Morning!!

Today I initially planned on doing my ‘Home Remedy’ post because this past weekend I literally conquered the most awful zit on my face. Just saying the word ‘zit’ makes me cringe. Nevertheless, me and my home remedies won and it’s completely gone. Phew!

But when I ran the idea by Andrew last night he gave me a look that pretty much was like “uh no”. I like to take his sentiment into consideration for being an avid reader to my blog. So instead I’m going to just post it at the end of this post because it’s super short and just VERY handy to know.

In the meantime I found a…

PHOTO CHALLENGE

If you need something to blog about or if your bored I definitely advise doing this one 🙂

There’s 10 items on the list all of which you have to find at your desk. Now it can be any desk whether its at work, home, school, etc

Mine is my work desk because this is where I am M-F so here we go!

1. Something Personal

Pictures of some of my favorite people2

2. Flowers

No flowers at my desk *cough ANDREW cough* but flowers on this card will do…3

3. Something Old

One of my coworkers who no longer works for the company bought this movie for me, Nancy and Lina; it went to Nancy first, but then she left and gave it to Lina to watch. Lina just recently left too and gave it to me to hold onto lol4

4. Something New

5. Something Bright7

6. Something You Use Everyday

This is my life savior. It’s a MacBook screen cleaner but I use it to clean my glasses, its the only thing that actually clears them off perfectly.6

7. Something Noisy

It’s my “NOW” buzzer10

8. Something Purpleunnamed

9. Your View8

10. You At Your Desk

#OOTD11

And that concludes the photo challenge!

Okay, real quick! HOME REMEDY!!!

TOOTHPASTE (make sure its that white paste and not a gel) works wonders as a zit cream

If you pick at it and it scabs up (so gross, I know. but we’ve all been there done that) put a HOT COMPRESS on it, and it’ll come right off

If there’s any redness or scarring, my go-to is always COCONUT OIL and/or the aloe from an aloe plant! I’m telling you coconut oil for the win, something handy to have around the house at all times!

And that concludes my little home remedy!

Love you all

xo, JJ

This is such a fun challenge! I love your ootd – very chic! Ooooh coconut oil is something I really need to incorporate into my beauty routine, I’ve read so many amazing things about it and how versatile it is. Toothpaste is literally a lifesaver when it comes to spots! xxx

Thank you!! The dress is soo warm- Sweater dresses are my fave in the winter for obvious reasons :)…its from Nordstrom! But yess, on countless occasions coconut oil has saved my life (and now toothpaste lol) and it’s great because a little goes a LONG way so that jar will last me for forever! Thanks so much for the feedback as usual ❤

Such a fun challenge, loved reading this. I really need to try MacBook screen cleaner for my glasses too because honestly nothing ever cleans them properly! And toothpaste really works so well for spots, it’s amazing haha 😂💪🏼

The macbook screen cleaners are AMAZING. I’m so OCD with smudges on my glasses and these wipes make them crystal clear!!! Luckily we get macbook shipments for the employees at my work so I always have like 5 at one time just everywhere I go; car, office, home, purse lol

Oh for sure, I just used it last night for another spot and it’s pretty much on its way out. I think if I do one more overnighter it’ll be gone! Crazy how something like toothpaste helps with that lol

SO fun to see where you are day in and day out! LOVE The momentum background!!!!!! I still am obsessed. What’s your go-to Starbucks drink? Also I never thought about doing the hot compress– but makes sense! And coconut oil is a true cure all, but never knew it would help like that with scars?! So awesome. Thanks for sharing, girly! Us GIRLS always could use a “home remedy” post… Andrew, what you thinking, bruh?! Haha. Have such a great rest of the week ❤

LOL I just want to say I loved waking up to a snap of the zit creme 😉 Somehow you even rock that so well! Oh starbs…tall vanilla ice with 2% orrr I love their green tea fraps- no whip for this girl though! Do you have a fave go-to? I didn’t know that about coconut oil either, I just googled it and aloe, baking soda, coconut oil and then whole list full were on there…but after trying it, it did go away after 2 nights of applying so I don’t hate it!!!!! Thanks for reading girlie xoxo

Hahah I couldn’t help myself, had to share! YESSSSS- green tea fraps are AMAZING. I feel like people aren’t aware of their yumminess. I’d say a almond or coconut milk misto is probably my go-to, but there are so many drinks I loveee there. Hope your week has been a great one. I can’t wait to read your recent posts. xoxoo ❤

This was so much fun! I don’t think I’d find any of those things at my desk because it’s so bare! It’s just a desk with a laptop and pens, LOL. Oh well, I don’t work in an office, so I guess it’s okay that it’s so sparse 😉

Thanks for the zit info! I never knew those tips, and girl do I need them!
